A new scientific achievement has been added to the record of research excellence at the University of Anbar

A new scientific achievement has been added to the record of research excellence at the University of Anbar, where Assistant Prof Dr. Ali Amer Alrawi, Director of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, in collaboration with Dr. Mustafa Maad and Dr. Khattab from the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Anbar, participated in publishing a scientific paper in the proceedings of the 2026 ASU International Conference on Emerging Technologies for Sustainability and Intelligent Systems (ICETSIS 2026), which was held at Applied Science University in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the sponsorship of IEEE. The published paper was entitled: “Mitigating Latency and Spectral Inefficiency in 5G New Radio via Intelligent Queue-Driven Resource Scheduling” The research focused on developing intelligent mechanisms for resource management and scheduling in Fifth Generation (5G) networks, aiming to reduce latency and improve spectral efficiency through smart queue-driven scheduling techniques. This contributes to enhancing the performance of modern communication networks and supporting intelligent systems and digital sustainability applications. This achievement represents a distinguished scientific contribution that reflects the strong research collaboration between the Biomedical Engineering Research Center and the College of Computer Science and Information Technology. It also highlights the University of Anbar’s commitment to supporting scientific research and active participation in reputable international conferences.
