All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the Master of Messengers and the leader of the enlightened, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.

With the generous support of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the President of the University of Anbar, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, along with the esteemed University Council, we are pleased to announce the official launch of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center, which was established on 17/12/2024.

This center represents the first initiative of its kind in our beloved country in the field of biomedical engineering. It is a long-awaited dream that, by the grace of Allah, has now become a reality. We will strive diligently, leveraging the unlimited support of our university, to ensure the success of this experience and to make it a leading model that combines innovative theoretical and applied scientific research in biomedical engineering.

The center comprises two main departments: the Prosthetics Department and the Medical Systems and Signals Department, in addition to the Scientific Affairs Division and the Administrative Unit. The Prosthetics Department focuses primarily on serving an important segment of society—people with disabilities. We pray to Allah to grant us success in supporting this group by providing prosthetic devices and assistive solutions that enable them to lead easier daily lives and become productive members of society.

The Medical Systems and Signals Department is concerned with the electrical signals generated by the human body, which play a vital role in developing smart prosthetic systems, as well as contributing to the diagnosis of various disorders affecting the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.

In conclusion, we invite all researchers, academics, and those interested in biomedical engineering and its applications to visit our center and explore the advanced equipment and technologies available. Through these resources, we aim to support and facilitate the development and implementation of high-quality scientific research and innovative ideas.
