The Director of the Center shall exercise the following powers:

First: Managing the center’s or unit’s affairs in scientific, financial, and administrative aspects.

Second: Representing the center or unit, or appointing an authorized representative for activities inside and outside Iraq as required.

Third: Implementing decisions of the center or unit council.

Fourth: Recommending the selection of staff for the center or unit.

Fifth: Approving the publication of completed research.

Sixth: Preparing the annual budget plan for the center or unit, as well as its staffing and final accounts.

Seventh: Granting incentive rewards to employees according to the specified authorities.

Eighth: Approving the participation of the center’s or unit’s members in various activities inside Iraq.

Ninth: Nominating the center’s or unit’s members for postgraduate studies inside and outside Iraq.

Tenth: Proposing the establishment, merging, or dissolution of center or unit formations.

Eleventh: Recommending the granting of study leave inside and outside Iraq.

Twelfth: Approving the purchase and import of laboratory equipment, other necessary supplies, journals, and books according to applicable regulations and instructions.
