The Center for Medical Engineering Research Participates in the 17th International Forum with a Keynote Lecture on the Latest AI Innovations in Engineering

As part of the scientific activities conducted by the staff of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, Professor Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadani participated as a keynote speaker in the interactive scientific workshop held within the events of the 17th International Forum, organized by the Areed Scientific Foundation in collaboration with Ankara Hac? Bayram Veli University, Ankara University of Social Sciences, and the Areed International Graduate Studies University, on 25 November 2025, under the title: “Artificial Intelligence: The Latest Innovations in Engineering Specializations – An Interactive Dialogue” During his lecture, Dr. Al-Mashhadani presented a comprehensive overview of the most significant applications of artificial intelligence across various engineering disciplines, highlighting the pivotal role of AI technologies in enhancing engineering practices, improving technical systems, and contributing to a higher quality of life. The presentation covered AI applications in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, petrochemical engineering, control and systems engineering, dam and water resources engineering, electrical power engineering, and communications engineering. Dr. Al-Mashhadani also showcased his seven most notable research achievements accomplished through the use of AI techniques, explaining how artificial intelligence was employed to develop applied solutions published in top-tier journals indexed in Clarivate (Q1) and Scopus (Q1). He further discussed the patent he obtained in 2014 in the field of biomedical engineering, which involved the use of intelligent control systems. Additionally, the presentation highlighted several research projects completed by postgraduate and undergraduate students under his supervision, demonstrating their ability to deliver distinguished work despite challenges. These projects have earned top rankings in various Arab and international scientific forums.
