Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar Organizes a Workshop on 3D Printing for Prosthetics

Biomedical Engineering Research Centre at the University of Anbar Organizes a Workshop on 3D Printing for Prosthetics As part of its scientific activities, the Biomedical Engineering Research Centre – University of Anbar, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Centre, organized a specialized workshop entitled: “3D Printing and the Selection of Suitable Materials for Prosthetic Limbs.” The workshop was delivered by Dr. Noor Mohammed Jasim on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the premises of the Biomedical Engineering Research Centre, starting at 10:00 a.m., with the participation of a number of researchers, academic staff, and professionals interested in biomedical and engineering applications. The workshop addressed the fundamental concepts of 3D printing and its applications in the medical field, with a particular focus on criteria for selecting appropriate materials for manufacturing prosthetic limbs, aiming to enhance functional performance, improve product quality, and support applied research in this vital area. This workshop reflects the ongoing efforts of the Biomedical Engineering Research Centre – University of Anbar to strengthen scientific and training activities, develop researchers’ skills, and keep pace with modern technologies in biomedical engineering in service of the community and the healthcare sector.
