As part of the collaboration activities with Malaysian universities, following the Memoranda of Understanding signed by the President of the University of Anbar, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, with several Malaysian institutions—including the National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), Prof. Dr. Yousif Ismail Mohammed Al Mashhadany, Director of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, participated on March 12, 2025, in the doctoral defense of Mr. Mohammed Jawad Ahmed at the National University of Malaysia, Faculty of Engineering and the Environment, Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Systems Engineering. Prof. Al Mashhadany serves as the external supervisor for the doctoral candidate alongside the principal supervisor, Prof. Ir. Dr. Norhana Arsad from the National University of Malaysia.Within the framework of this collaboration under postgraduate supervision, Mr. Mohammed Jawad completed his PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with his dissertation entitled: Detection and Classification of SARS-COV-2 Immunoglobulin G Antibodies Using Convolutional Neural Network and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory with Fiber-Optic Dataset. He concluded his defense successfully, earned his doctoral degree, and had his dissertation accepted.
