Training Workshop on Laboratory Management According to ISO/IEC 17025 at the Biomedical Engineering Research Center – University of Anbar

As part of the ongoing scientific activities organized by the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, and in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education at the university, a specialized training workshop entitled "Laboratory Management According to ISO/IEC 17025" was held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the hall of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Kadhem Ahmed Abid and covered key topics related to laboratory management and quality assurance in accordance with internationally recognized standards. The content of the workshop was divided into two main sections:

A. Administrative Requirements, which included: (Quality management system ,Document and record control ,Evaluation and handling of complaints ,Procedures for managing non-conforming results ,Internal auditing)

B. Technical Requirements, which included: (Competence and qualification of personnel ,Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment ,Validity of testing and calibration methods)

The workshop aimed to enhance the scientific and technical staff’s competence in managing research and educational laboratories, ensuring the implementation of international best practices in quality control, and strengthening the reliability of testing outcomes and scientific research at the university.
