Commencement of Prosthetic Limb Rehabilitation and Production at the Biomedical Engineering Research Center – University of Anbar

As part of ongoing efforts to serve the local community and strengthen collaboration between academic and healthcare institutions, the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, in coordination with the Fallujah Prosthetics Center under the Anbar Health Directorate, has announced the continued implementation of the Prosthetic Limb Rehabilitation and Production Program, which is one of the pioneering community projects in the province. In this context, a significant practical step was taken with the second mold for a prosthetic limb being taken by the team at the Biomedical Engineering Research Center, for the benefit of a second individual with disabilities from Anbar Governorate. It is planned, God willing, that the prosthetic limb will be completed and delivered within the next two days. This collaboration between the university and the health sector represents a qualitative step towards enhancing the services provided to people with disabilities. It also reflects the University of Anbar's commitment to its societal role, emphasizing the importance of integration between the academic and healthcare sectors in supporting various community groups and providing innovative solutions to meet their needs.
