In Support of Joint Cooperation: A Delegation from the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar Visits Fallujah Prosthetics Center and Carries Out Field Work to Serve People with Disabilities

As part of the scientific and practical activities undertaken by the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, and in line with its commitment to strengthening collaboration with relevant healthcare institutions, Prof Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadany, Director of the Research Center, assigned a group of the center’s staff to conduct a field visit to the Fallujah Prosthetics Center, affiliated with the Anbar Health Directorate. The purpose of the visit was to review the operational methodologies adopted at the center and to exchange expertise in the fields of prosthetics manufacturing and medical rehabilitation. The delegation from the Biomedical Engineering Research Center was warmly welcomed by the management and staff of the Fallujah Prosthetics Center, led by Mr. Saeed Mardhi Al-Jumaili, Director of the Center. The delegation expressed their sincere appreciation and gratitude for the generous hospitality and the spirit of professional cooperation demonstrated throughout the visit, especially with regard to the practical synergy achieved during the joint activities. The visit culminated in the execution of collaborative fieldwork between the two teams, which included contributing to the production of a new prosthetic limb tailored for individuals with disabilities, as well as the design and manufacture of a customized footrest for one of the center's beneficiaries. This collaboration serves as an effective model of integration between academic and professional efforts on one hand, and community-oriented healthcare services on the other. These activities align with the Center’s ongoing efforts to enhance its scientific and applied performance, thereby solidifying its role as a leading research institution committed to addressing societal needs. They also contribute to strengthening the University of Anbar's reputation at both the local and national levels through its impactful contributions to scientific research and biomedical applications. At the conclusion of the visit, Prof Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadany extended his heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to the staff of the Fallujah Prosthetics Center for their outstanding cooperation and professional support. He also praised the dedication and perseverance of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center team, commending their scientific and practical contributions to community service, and reaffirming his commitment to supporting such initiatives that elevate the Center's status and reinforce its role in advancing medical rehabilitation and biomedical engineering.
