Scientific Visit by the Department of Mechanical Engineering to the Biomedical Engineering Research Center: Strengthening Collaboration in Prosthetics Development

As part of the scientific and collaborative activities organized by the Biomedical Engineering Center Research at Al-Anbar University, and under the supervision of the center's director, Prof Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadany, a visit was made by faculty members and students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Al-Anbar University to learn about the center's working methodology. During the visit, the visitors were introduced to the advanced equipment available at the center, which plays a significant role in the rehabilitation and production of prosthetic limbs. A practical demonstration of the prosthesis production process was organized, where mechanical engineering students observed the various stages of production. The demonstration included the presence of a person with disabilities who was undergoing training to be fitted with a prosthetic limb. Representatives from the Department of Mechanical Engineering praised the professionalism of the staff at the Center for Medical Engineering Research, as well as their warm hospitality and cooperation. In this context, Prof Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadany welcomed the collaboration and emphasized the center's commitment to offering both scientific and moral support to all university departments and external entities. He further clarified that the center is always ready to provide comprehensive support to enhance the scientific level of the center and to introduce its mechanisms to all, with the ultimate goal of offering the best humanitarian services to those in need.
