As part of the scientific and practical advancements achieved by the staff of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, and under the direct supervision of Prof Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadany, Director of the Center, and in collaboration with the Fallujah Prosthetics Center, the team successfully completed the fabrication and fitting of the third prosthetic mold for one of the beneficiaries from the people of determination (individuals with disabilities). This effort is part of a series of applied initiatives that reflect the integration of scientific research with community service. The prosthetic fitting process was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Ahmed Hameed Atiyah, trainer and representative of the Fallujah Prosthetics Center, who played a key role in guiding and training the team throughout the stages of implementation. As a result of this training, the Biomedical Engineering Research Center staff successfully fabricated and fitted the prosthetic limb using their own technical expertise, demonstrating a high level of skill and humanitarian commitment. Prof Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadany expressed his deep appreciation for the continuous efforts made by the Center’s staff, praising their dedication to delivering impactful services that support vulnerable segments of society. He also emphasized the importance of sustaining such initiatives, which contribute to the advancement of the Center and elevate the standing of the University as an academic institution with a strong social and humanitarian mission. This field initiative reflects the commitment of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center to applying scientific knowledge and technical skills in the service of humanity. It also exemplifies the Center's vision of integrating practical training with academic learning to create tangible, positive impacts within the local community.
