Academic Visit to Enhance Scientific Collaboration Between the University of Anbar and Erbil Polytechnic University

As part of the ongoing research activities, academic openness, and scientific cooperation facilitated by the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, and under the guidance and patronage of the Center’s Director, Prof. Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadany, the Center recently received an academic delegation from the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics at Erbil Polytechnic University. The visiting delegation was headed by Dr. Zekra Ali Aziz, Head of the Department, accompanied by Mr. Ghassan Husni Ali and Ms. Suza Saadi Saeed, along with a group of students. The primary objective of the visit was to gain insight into the operational methodology of the Center. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the staff of the Center, led by its Director. A comprehensive presentation was delivered by Prof. Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadany, showcasing the Center’s work, its advanced facilities, and the modern electronic equipment available. As part of the visit, a live demonstration was conducted, involving the testing of a newly developed prosthetic limb for one of the beneficiaries from the community of persons with disabilities. The prosthesis had been fabricated and rehabilitated within the Center, and necessary modifications were made in the presence of the visiting team. The delegation expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation for the hospitality and warm reception they received. They also commended the Center’s leadership and staff for their professional expertise and technical capabilities. Both parties affirmed their willingness to establish joint collaboration aimed at advancing the Center’s academic and practical impact. In conclusion, Prof. Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadany extended his thanks and deep appreciation to his team for their continuous dedication and reaffirmed the Center’s commitment to excellence in service of both the University and the broader scientific community.
