The Center’s Participation in the Annual Celebration of the 66th Anniversary of Iraqi Engineer Day

As part of its commitment to maintaining a strong presence in scientific and professional forums, the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar participated in the annual celebration marking the 66th Anniversary of Iraqi Engineer Day, held at the Anbar Branch of the Engineers Syndicate, following a kind invitation from Consultant Engineer Khudhur Zaidan, the respected Syndicate President. The center was officially represented by its director, Prof. Dr. Yousif AlMashhadany, on behalf of the research team. The celebration was attended by several distinguished figures, including Mr. Mohammed Nouri Al-Dulaimi, Governor of Anbar; Consultant Engineer Omar Misha'an Dabbous, Chairman of the Anbar Provincial Council; Consultant Engineer Khalid Thuwaini, Deputy Governor of Anbar for Technical Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Wissam Hashem Al-Samarrai, Assistant President of the University of Anbar for Scientific Affairs. Their presence added significant academic and official importance to the event. During the event, Prof. Dr. AlMashhadany delivered a scientific lecture titled: "How to Transform Patented and Innovative Projects into Productive Investment Ventures." In his presentation, he highlighted the journey of establishing the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, outlining its organizational structure, operational strategy, and the center’s key applied research achievements—accomplished in less than six months since its inception. He also showcased several successful case studies in the field of prosthetic limb production and rehabilitation, in collaboration with the Fallujah Center for Prosthetics, demonstrating effective institutional cooperation between medical and research entities in the province. Prof. Dr. AlMashhadany further emphasized the unwavering support from the University of Anbar, particularly from its President, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Neda, and the respected members of the University Council, in driving the university toward becoming a third- and fourth-generation institution. This vision is being realized through policies that support scientific research, encourage innovation, and foster pioneering applied and entrepreneurial projects. The lecture received wide appreciation from attendees. Officials and participants praised the tremendous efforts undertaken at the Biomedical Engineering Research Center and expressed their admiration for the remarkable progress achieved within such a short period. They extended their best wishes for continued success, recognizing the center’s vital role in serving the community and advancing innovation in both the engineering and medical sectors.
