As part of efforts to strengthen scientific collaboration and promote the exchange of technical expertise, a specialized team of researchers and developers in software and electronic applications from the Scientific Research Authority / Center for Research and Information and Communication Technology conducted a scientific visit to the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar. The delegation was headed by the Director General of the Center, Dr. Hamed Shamal Al-Dulaimi, and the visit aimed to activate the cooperation agreement signed between the Authority and the University, with a focus on establishing a strategic partnership to support the digital transformation of the University of Anbar. The visit included discussions on mechanisms for leveraging the expertise and technical capabilities of the Research and ICT Center, as well as showcasing models of software and digital solutions developed by the Center that could be applied to support research, administrative, and educational functions at the university. During the meeting, the Director of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center, Dr. Ali Amer Al-Rawi, affirmed the center’s full readiness to engage in joint cooperation, emphasizing the potential for implementing high-quality, applied research projects. These projects are expected to enhance the research and technological capabilities of both institutions, thereby strengthening their academic and scientific standing within Iraq’s higher education and research system. This initiative aligns with national strategies aimed at developing digital infrastructure across Iraqi universities and promoting innovation through the integration of technological solutions in support of education and research, in accordance with the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the standards of smart universities.
