Center for Biomedical Engineering Research Publishes Research in a Q1 Journal on Traffic Safety

As part of the scientific activities and academic openness pursued by the Staff of the Medical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, Prof Dr. Yousif Ismail AlMashhadani has contributed to the publication of a research paper entitled: "Management and Prediction of Traffic Crashes on Residential Streets in Iraq Using the Expert System (MPTCRSI-ES)", in the journal Case Studies on Transport Policy, indexed in Scopus and ranked in the first quartile (Q1), with a CiteScore of 6 and an Impact Factor of 3.3 according to Clarivate. Link to the article The research team comprised scholars from York University, Canada, and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, in addition to Dr. AlMashhadani. This study forms an integral part of an innovative flagship project led by Dr. Al-Mashhadani in collaboration with researchers from the center and governmental institutions, aiming to implement the intelligent system (MPTCRSI-ES) to reduce traffic accidents and lower fatality rates on residential streets. This achievement represents a significant step toward integrating intelligent technologies into road safety frameworks in Iraq, thereby enhancing urban safety levels and aligning with global advancements in the field.
