As part of the scientific activities annually organized by the Presidency of the University of Anbar within the framework of the 13th Student Creativity Forum this year, a group of fourth-year students from the Department of Electrical Engineering participated with their research project entitled: "Design and Implementation of Correction Unit for Foot Drop Disease Based on Electromyography (EMG) Signal" This participation was supervised by Professor Dr. Youssef Al-Mashhadani and Dr. Muhannad Abdul-Salam Younis, a member of the research staff at the center. The research was presented as part of the events of the 13th Creative Forum for Student Graduation Projects, where its results were reviewed by specialized committees. The study addressed the issue of weak electromyography (EMG) signals, which typically range in intensity between 50 and 1000 microvolts, making them susceptible to interference from external electromagnetic sources such as mobile phones and lighting systems. Accordingly, a correction unit was designed to mitigate the effects of these interferences and to enhance the quality of the signals, thereby contributing to improving the effectiveness of therapeutic systems based on muscle signals. The research was well-received and highly praised by the scientific committees, which commended the distinguished research efforts of the students under the supervision of their professors. Professor Dr. Youssef Al-Mashhadani and Dr. Muhannad Abdul-Salam Younis also received special recognition for their active role and valuable scientific contributions to the successful completion of this research work.
