Biomedical Engineering Research Center Explores Scientific Cooperation with the Information and Communication Technology Center at the Scientific Research Authority

As part of the scientific and training activities organized by the Medical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, and under the direct supervision of the Center’s Director, Assistant Prof Dr. Ali Amer Al-Rawi, in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education, a specialized training course was held under the title: "Mastering Machine Learning & AI with Python: From Theory to Practice" The course was delivered by Dr. Muhannad Abdul-Salam Younis, a faculty member at the Medical Engineering Research Center, and took place at the Central Laboratories Hall. The training aimed to enhance participants’ competencies in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) by combining theoretical foundations with practical applications using Python, one of the most widely adopted programming languages for building intelligent models and data analysis. The course covered key concepts of machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised algorithms, data preprocessing techniques, and model evaluation methods. Participants also received hands-on training with specialized Python libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and Keras, with an emphasis on real-world applications in medical and engineering domains. This course reflects the Center’s ongoing strategy to strengthen academic and research capacities and to keep pace with global advancements in AI and data science. It also contributes to supporting the University’s research mission and broadening opportunities for applying modern intelligent technologies in healthcare, engineering, and community services.
