Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control Celebrates World Intellectual Property Day with Academic and Official Attendance

The Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control marked **World Intellectual Property Day** through an academic and official event that witnessed distinguished participation from universities and relevant institutions. University of Anbar took part in the event in response to an official invitation, represented by Assistant Scientific Professor Dr. Wisam Hashim Khalil, on behalf of the University President, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Amer Al-Rawi, Director of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center, along with a number of the center’s researchers. The event featured scientific lectures and discussions addressing the importance of protecting intellectual property rights and their role in fostering innovation and creativity, as well as reviewing the legal and regulatory frameworks that safeguard researchers’ and inventors’ rights. The program also included academic discussions aimed at promoting intellectual property awareness within the academic community and encouraging the registration of patents and the protection of scientific outputs in support of sustainable development. This participation reflects the University of Anbar’s commitment to strengthening its academic presence and engaging in national events that support research, innovation, and knowledge development.
