As part of the continuous scientific activities carried out by the staff of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, and within the framework of strengthening academic and research collaboration with prestigious international universities, particularly Canadian universities, a high-quality scientific research paper entitled: “A Hybrid Expert System for Predicting and Controlling Traffic Crashes in Residential Areas” has been published by the Director of the Center, Assistant Prof Dr. Ali Amer Al-Rawi, in collaboration with Prof Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadani. The study focuses on the application of hybrid expert systems for predicting and controlling traffic accidents in residential areas, thereby contributing to the enhancement of traffic safety and the provision of intelligent, scientifically grounded solutions to support decision-making processes. This research was published in the International Journal of Transportation System Research, a peer-reviewed scientific journal classified within the second quartile (Q2) and published by Springer, reflecting the academic rigor of the work and highlighting the advanced research standing of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center and its academic staff at both the national and international levels.
